RES biogas facilities utilize a unique proprietary anaerobic digestion (AD) technology suitable on high nitrogen waste streams.  Primarily developed for livestock waste  and other organic feedstocks such as pre-consumer food waste and fats, oils & grease (FOG). In addition, the BTS technology has been successfully tested extensively on slaughterhouse waste, animal mortalities and waste water. These complimentary feedstocks will allow RES to pursue stand-alone projects at processing facilities, food processors, slaughterhouses, etc., with a focus on geographic proximity to  agricultural projects and/or other quality  feedstock. In support of these efforts, BTS was recently awarded patents for prion destruction and H2S reductions in connection with their existing technology along with, patents pending on low temperature dry digestion and feedstock with high nitrogen levels such as poultry litter and solid food waste.
